Everywhere you look in the internet marketing world, you will find people talking about how useful webinars are for getting your message across, or training, or whatever else is the latest thing. The very next sentence usually points you to gotowebinar.com for a great way to make this happen.

So, here’s the blow. Gotowebinar just announced a five-fold price increase for running a webinar up to 1000 attendees. Up until now it has been $99 and will go up to $499 from now on.

You will no doubt be told that even $499 is good for the potential that it offers, but it will still smart to know that others are still on the old rate.

Well, after a bit of searching, I can tell you that there is a way out. You have precisely 8 days to get signed in at the old rate and it will stay at that price until you drop out of the program.

Run over to http://www.gotowebinar.com/s/TAF and you can get in and even get a 45 day trial before it starts charging you.

Send me your enormous gratitude up until the end of the month!

Over the last few days, I got directed to these fantastic short videos on using video itself in marketing. They have been made by Andy Jenkins and you’ll recognise his voice from so many of the Stompernet videos….and the high-quility of the videos themselves.

In the most recent one, he gives a really detailed breakdown on getting video right, by just using a presentation as a way to sell. Then he talks about how easy it is to “just” use Keynote or Powerpoint to do this.

Well, that’s a great theory….but let’s face it, Powerpoint is just not up to the job – yet! It will do the slides, sure, but the transitions and animations do not make it a good movie-making helper.

So, in the interests of getting us all up to the same quality of tools before we start, I went looking around.

Microsoft have said that Powerpoint 2010 will be better at it, but I can’t wait. So I eventually found Sliderocket – one of those new-fangled “in the cloud” type of Adobe Air application that will give you a network way to do it all. I have to say it’s looking good. I am going to play with it for a while before making a final analysis but it has to be worth a try if you want to get stuff looking as good as Andy’s…….and I do want you to do that.

Please, no more plain black and white presentations where you just read the bullets. Watch Andy’s videos over at  The Videoboss and just make them look incredible!
