Lead GorillaWP Lead Gorilla does what is says on the tin (or at least, the sales page).

It builds lead capture pages that are reputed to have an insanely high conversion rate and that are being used by some of the big names in marketing right now.

There’s not a lot to say about this, as it’s a plugin – it either works, or it doesn’t 🙂 There are a few reports already about the optin rates being produced by this thing, so I’m happy to say that it does seem to have the desired effect.

Cheap Shot!

One thing that I was less than impressed with was that the images shown in all the sales material are part of an OTO – sorry, but that’s just a little too close to false advertising. I know they weren’t explicitly mentioned on the offer, but I’d expect to see the example images in the bundle. By all means upsell me on an awesome mega-pack of licensed images, but give me the ones you tempted me with in the first place.

My suggestion (unless you really want these pics and the themes) is to hit canstockphoto or one of the other players for stock images. Lodge your OTO equivalent money with them and then use the “points” to download exactly what images you need.

As a result, I’m going to knock down the score for this primate – he only gets 7 out of 10 (and I really wanted to score it higher for the results). Maybe I should introduce a score for the sales process as well as for the product. What do you think?

    Hi Martin,

I saw your WSO come out last week and it seemed to be getting some very solid reviews so do hope it is going well for you.

It seems you have been doing this for some time so was wondering why you are on Deans Course. (I am Too)

What is it thatb attracted you to it? What is the key benefit you are looking for?

Mine is to get really focussed and I am definately getting there with my own product launch coming out soon.

    Good luck with the challenge

    Richard

    Hi Martin,

I’ve also encountered upon the WP Lead Gorilla. But I did not buy it because I’m not sure exactly how well it do. I assume you have already implemented it. Care to share how well you are doing with it? Like how is your opt-in rate with the squeeze pages you made from this plugin? Thanks.

    Hi Zhenwei,

I have spent so much time looking after the challenge, that I haven’t yet built any pages with the plugin. As I said in the review, part of the disappointment is not having an easy set of images to use straight away, so I will have to find some of my own before I can get started.

Hi Martin, Great site – and great review.

I’m a newbie at IM and bought the plugin, raring to go after a friend recommended it. I haven’t been able to activate it because it keeps rejecting my license key, which they indicate is the email address registered with the plugin. I’ve tried to get support response since Saturday, from their forum, Facebook page, help desk, email, Twitter … and still, nothing! So I’m now desperate enough to ask you (a reviewer who sounds like he may know!) whether you have any clues on either how to get this thing working, or how to squeeze a response out of the people I just gave my money to! Thank you in advance.

    Hi Katie,

That sounds tricky. I won’t make excuses for the guys, since they should have someone manning the support – even if it’s some kind of random holiday where they are!

It sounds as if you are struggling to even get into the download page to get hold of the plugin, am I right in thinking that? Ah, maybe it’s the “limited” version that has a problem.

Unfortunately I paid for the unlimited version, so I may not be seeing the same behaviour as you. I guess mine doesn’t check for licensing issues.

Did you try leadgorillahelp [at] gmail dot com or even sending them a PM on the warrior forum? Let me know where you get up to, I’m sure we can find a way to make it happen!

    Martin
